The production of products or the provision of services is carried out by a company legally established in Paraguayan territory, which is the Maquila Company, for and on behalf of a company domiciled abroad, which is the Central Office in accordance with the Contract.

In 1997, Law N ° 1064 of the export maquiladora industries was enacted. In July 2000, Decree No. 9,585 / 00 regulating the Law was issued. The first operations under the Maquila regime began in mid-2001.
